Practice reading the Amharic Ge'ez script. Pick which consonant rows to drill, then type the pronunciation for each character. Each row has 7 forms (orders), one per vowel. Skip anything you're unsure of and circle back at the end.
Romanization (AmharicABC, all letters verified): order 1 = uh, 2 = oo, 3 = ee, 4 = aa, 5 = ae, 6 = ih, 7 = o.
So በ = buh, ቡ = boo, ቢ = bee, ባ = baa, ቤ = bae, ብ = bih, ቦ = bo.
A few rows differ: ሀ and the vowel አ row repeat "aa" in orders 1 & 4; ወ order 3 is "we"; emphatics ጠ (tt‑), ጨ (cch‑), ጰ (pp‑/ph‑). The 6th order also accepts the bare consonant.
"Extra / Rare" adds the duplicate historical letters (ሐ ኀ ኸ ሠ ዐ ጸ ዠ) and the labialized ‑wa forms (ሟ ሷ …).
